Sankarda is a Bengali village in Jharkhand on the foothills of the Dalma Hills. Four hours drive from Kolkata. Quiet secluded environment. Surrounded by small hills and there are organic vegetable and fruit gardens. There is a “Chow” dance group in the village. On the other side, see the village of Kasidi inhabited by Santals and proceed towards Naroa hill. The Garra river is flowing in front. Take a tour of Rukmini Mata Temple, just 20 km away. You can see the Chandil Dam on the river Subarnarekha, 52 km away on the way to Jamshedpur. Elephant herds, meanwhile, occasionally move into the village. The forest surrounds the surrounding nature. Chandil Dam is available for boating. Take a look at Dimna Lake and Jubilee Park.
How to Reach Sankarda
There are 12021 Barbil Janshatabdi Express, 1261 Ispat Express and several other trains from Howrah, Shalimar and Santragachhi directly to Tatanagar. Distance from Tatanagar to Sankarda is 15 kms. The resort will send the car if asked. Scorpio car costs Rs 1,100 to travel from the station to the resort and the Indica costs Rs 900.
